The traditional Summer School of the Società di Danza this year will be in Villa Massimo, sulle colline del Golfo di Tindari, Patti (Messina).
We will study social dance of nineteenth-century tradition: Waltzes, quadrilles, polkas, mazurka and Scottish Country Dance.
We have four weeks of dance workshops, a week for intermediate dancers, a week for advanced, one for teachers and one for Russian dancers.
The stage swill be held in the afternoon from 17 to 20 for five days.
In the evenings we will have an informal party , "Movies Under the Stars" with nightly open-air projections and a Grand Ball.

The weeks of Holiday and Dance will be dedicated to holiday tourism, sea , mountain hiking, archaeological and scenic tours.
Informal evenings of dance, "Appetizers and literature" and "Cinema under the stars".

A place to meet, Dance and Holidays for members, relatives and friends of the Società of Dance:
A three-story villa with two large terraces overlooking the sea of the Aeolian Islands,
set in its own 10,000 mq garden with olive trees, citrus trees, oaks, myrtles, laurels and pines.
A large open-air dance hall covered with wooden floor.
A covered terrace overlooking the sea for breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
The sea is just 10 minutes drive from the Villa.

How to get there - A map
It can be reached by car: Patti is an exit Highway Messina - Palermo.
By Train: Patti has the Railway Station where the ICN stop from Rome.
By plane: Airport of Catania, Palermo, Trapani, Reggio Calabria, all linked to Patti by highway, railway, bus.
The Società di Danza will have to group arrivals and steps from the Railway Station.

Logistics and costs
Breakfast: will be prepared by the staff of the Villa and always included in the price.
Cleaning: at the expense of personal service.
Lunch: free, you can use the large kitchen of the Villa.
Dinner: an outside caterer will serve us for a very low price complete dinners, the menu of the dinner will be decided in advance with the group of the week.

The Villa can accommodate no more than 27-32 people per week: 1 single, 4 doubles, 6 triples/quads.
The contribution per person for the week of Dance Holiday (accommodation, breakfast, appetizers, various evenings and Gand Ball) per person is:
270 E in quadruple, 300 E in triple, 330 E in double, 500 E in single.
For the week of internship:
370 E in quadruple, 400 E in triple, 430 E in double, 600 E in single.
