Weekly classes
The acitivities of Fall 2000 started in
October 2000 in Pisa and in Livorno with the weekly classes of XIX Century dances and
Scottish Country dances.
Classes have been organized in three groups of eleven weeks from October 2000 to June 2001.
Classes were on Friday and Monday
at 20.00, in the gymnasium of the 'Scuole Mazzini', V. Gentileschi 10, and on Thursday at 21.00
in Livorno, gymnasium of the Palazzetto dello Sport.
Some historical dance classes have been at the
Royal Victoria Hotel, Lungarno Pacinotti, 12.
We studied XIX Century dances of European tradition, including quadrilles, country dances,
waltz, mazurka, polka, galop, schottische.
The dances are studied according to the resarch work of the
Società di Danza.
We studied scottish country dances, according to the
Scottish dance tradition and research of the
Royal Scottish Country Society.
